This meeting has been organised to introduce the guidelines, engage in detailed discussions regarding their implementation, and identify a specific wildlife trade supply chain or interface and stakeholders for which disease risks will be explored and mitigated. Moreover, this gathering will serve as an opportunity to present WOAH’s ongoing wildlife-related initiatives and explore potential collaborations.
Objectives
- To enhance knowledge for relevant stakeholders by sharing up-to-date WOAH guidelines (e.g. Guidelines for Addressing Disease Risks in Wildlife Trade [expected publication 2024]).
- To identify a Wildlife Trade Supply Chain or Interface for In-Depth Disease Risk Assessment and Reduction.
- To identify stakeholders at the selected interface and conduct a stakeholder analysis
- To increase communication and awareness among different stakeholders
