The Australia-World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH, founded as OIE) One Health Partnership is a collaboration between the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Indo-Pacific Centre for Health Security (IPHSC) and WOAH which started in 2019.
The Partnership aims at strengthening Veterinary Services to improve regional health security through a ‘One Health’ approach to prevent, prepare for and respond to infectious disease threats.
Thanks to this project, WOAH has implemented numerous PVS and One Health activities in South-East Asia, Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea and Pacific Island countries.
To take stock of the results of the project, promote tools among the countries targeted by the Project and prepare the future of the Partnership, WOAH, together with Australia DFAT, invited 11 countries from South-East Asia to participate in the regional event “PVS Pathway and One Health tools for efficient Veterinary Services” in Bangkok on 22-24 March 2023.
