WOAH South-East Asia Wildlife Health Network Workshop: Empowering Wildlife Trade Authorities to protect Wildlife Health

The three-day regional workshop brought together WOAH National Wildlife Focal Points and CITES authorities from Southeast Asian members to strengthen collaboration between the wildlife health and wildlife trade sectors in managing disease risks. Through training on the WOAH Guidelines for Addressing Disease Risks in Wildlife Trade, technical exchanges, and country case studies, participants developed collaborative actions focused on improving inter-agency coordination, capacity building, data sharing, and joint disease risk assessment.
