WOAH Wildlife Health Networks annual information sharing meeting in Asia and the Pacific

Since 2021, sub-regional wildlife health networks have been established across East Asia, South Asia, South-East Asia and the Pacific, bringing together WOAH Focal Points for Wildlife and other stakeholders with an interest in wildlife health.

In February 2024 and 2025, virtual information-sharing meetings brought together members from across the region to exchange updates on network activities and discuss priorities for the year ahead. Building on these successful exchanges, WOAH convened the annual information sharing meeting for 2026.

Topics covered during the meeting included:

  • Summary updates from the WOAH Sub-Regional Wildlife Health Networks: East Asia, Pacific, South Asia and South-East Asia
  • WOAH wildlife health highlights for 2025–2026, with introduction of the new WOAH wildlife information system
  • Plenary discussion on wildlife-related activities planned across the region in 2026

Participants

The meeting had a regional focus and was open to anyone interested in wildlife health in Asia and the Pacific.

Platform

The meeting was held virtually using the Zoom® meeting platform, hosted by the WOAH Regional Representation for Asia and the Pacific (RRAP).
