Capacity Building in Outbreak Investigation and response management

Header

The prompt and appropriate response is essential to effectively control transboundary animal diseases (TADs) to prevent their further spread causing serious socio-economic consequences. Planning outbreak investigation and control activities ensure that a country is prepared to respond when disease outbreaks occur and that there are sufficient resources and capacities to conduct the response activities in the face of an outbreak.

The OIE is organising a virtual Training of Trainers (ToT) programme to build capacities in outbreak investigation and response management in partnership with the Epicentre, Massey University, New Zealand, and Animal Health Works.

The ToT is a self-paced virtual training programme organised using Massey University online stream platform. The duration of the training is 5 weeks from 31 May to 8 July 2021.
