The 3rd meeting of South Asia Wildlife Health Network was held on 19th July 2023.
This meeting had a special agenda sharing success story from countries and this time Nepal shared its success story on ”vulture conservation” to all. We invited Dr Bikalpa Karki from the National Trust for Nature Conservation- Biodiversity Conservation Center (NTNC-BCC) of Nepal to make a presentation on the topic.
The second point on the agenda was the latest information exchange among the network members. The participants from Pakistan and Nepal were kindly shared the latest information of wildlife health issues.
The last agenda was the transfer of chair for the network secretariat from Nepal to Pakistan. The present chair of the network, Dr. Mukul Upadhyaya from Nepal, transferred the responsibility of chair to Mr. Samar Hussain Khan, Pakistan. The transfer of chair was a usual process as per the Terms of Reference (Tor) of the South Asia Wildlife Health Network.
