Mongolia was selected as one of six recipient countries for the Nature for Health (N4H) Initiative. Following the kick-off workshop for the project in December 2023 and a second workshop in January 2024, participants met for a third and final workshop in February-March 2024 to develop activities for the Implementation Phase.
This workshop was part of the Scoping Phase for the N4H project in Mongolia. Participants from across sectors — animal health, human health and the environment — met to share their experiences and perspectives. WOAH is the lead implementing agency of the project in Mongolia, and organised the hybrid in-person and online “Scoping Phase Workshop for the Nature for Health Project in Mongolia” in association with SCVL and GAVS in February – March 2024. There were 41 participants.
The workshop content mainly comprised group work with plenary discussions. A small writing team started to prepare the Implementation Phase Document for submission to the N4H Secretariat. After the Secretariat’s approval, project implementation will begin.
Date: 27 February – 1 March 2024
Location: Onsite in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, with online participants via Zoom®.
This workshop was funded by generous support from the Nature for Health Multi-Partner Trust Fund. WOAH extends special gratitude to local organisers from the State Central Veterinary Laboratory (SCVL) and to supporting partners in CIC and the Quadripartite.
