Following a successful inaugural World Food Safety Day (WFSD) in 2019, the second WFSD was held on 3 June 2020. The event was organised to draw attention and inspire action to help prevent, detect and manage foodborne risks, contributing to food security, human health, economic prosperity, agriculture, market access, tourism and sustainable development.
In Asia and the Pacific, the Regional Tripartite (FAO, the OIE and WHO) plus WFP held a webinar to celebrate the event in its second year.
