Publication launch: “Guidelines on monitoring antimicrobial use (AMU) at the farm level”

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH, founded as OIE) organised a webinar to launch a new publication, “Guidelines on monitoring antimicrobial use (AMU) at the farm level.”

The publication was produced out of the importance of monitoring AMU at the farm level because misuse and overuse of antimicrobials in animal production, including in aquaculture remain some of the key drivers of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). AMR is a major health threat to humans, animals, plants and the environment.

The launch was held via webinar on 12 February 2024, and the recording can be viewed below.
