World Rabies Day 2025: Youth Against Rabies Webinar

Act Now: You, Me, Community

Background

Rabies is a 100% preventable disease, yet it continues to claim nearly 59,000 lives annually, disproportionately affecting children and youth in South and South-East Asia. Around World Rabies Day, this Regional Dialogue brought together youth, experts, and communities to explore how collective action can accelerate the “Zero by 30” goal – ending human deaths from dog-mediated rabies by 2030.

This event is part of the Youth Against Rabies Campaign, led by Nymat, a youth organisation, in collaboration with WHO and the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), empowering young people to recognize rabies, take preventive action, and mobilize their communities for a rabies-free future.
