Lumpy Skin Disease Update Meeting for Southeast Asia

On December 16, the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) Sub-Regional Representation for South-East Asia organised the third virtual LSD coordination meeting to share update on their respective LSD situation and disease control measures implemented by the Members. This meeting was attended by about 80 participants from the Members in South-East Asia, Partners, Donors and LSD Experts.

 

The objectives of the meeting were to:

  • Update Members on the global LSD situation and LSDV recombination in South-East Asia
  • Provide update on the current LSD situation in the affected countries
  • Share experiences and lessons learnt in implementation of LSD prevention and control measures by the affected countries

 

The meeting successfully allowed sharing good of practices and lessons learnt between members such as on LSD diagnosis and vaccination. The participants could also identify priority needs and actions to enhance LSD prevention and control in the South-East Asia.
